Hi! My name is Michael ‘Myke D’ Deaton and I want to thank you for checking out my site.
Ever since I can remember, the arts of every type, have always been of great interest to me. Especially music and (obviously) photography. During family gatherings as a kid, I was always chosen as the official photographer. Probably since I was the only one who could keep the camera straight, if you know what I mean. The trade off being there’s not a whole lot of photos of myself with the fam, but I never minded that. I just liked taking the photos! A price all photographers pay now and then.
As I grew up, I began to take a greater interest in photography. I would borrow the family 33mm Minolta, and just go out shooting whatever I could fit into the viewfinder. Buying point-and-shoot cameras at first when I could afford it. Then buying better ones and taking them almost everywhere I went. Now I almost feel out of place if I don’t have one close by.
I love being creative with photography and I’m not afraid to take chances and try new things to get amazing shots. If I could, I would shoot everything and everyone for free. Unfortunately, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Mine was more like a spork than anything. But I digress. Taking risks is what makes life worthwhile and I try to extend that philosophy into every aspect of my life. That being said, I am always willing to work within my client’s needs. Whether you’re looking for a simple portrait or a photo shoot for promotional purposes, I’d love to work with you!…M
